Changes to our community

24 Feb 2020

Fresh faces for our teams and new roles for our colleagues

The latest changes to our communications and marketing community sees Rachael McGraw, Head of Engagement, moving from the Division of Communications and Marketing to join the Directorate of Human Resources (HR) and reporting to Karen Heaton, Director of HR until the end of her secondment in July 2021.

The move has been made to support the launch of University’s new vision, values and strategic plan – Our future – and the staff engagement priorities that will be part of the ‘Our people our values’ theme plan.  Rachael’s role and remit will remain unchanged, however her job title will change to Head of Colleague Engagement to distinguish this work from other activity relating to student and external stakeholder engagement.

Beth Piggott has moved from the Faculty of Humanities Communications and Marketing Team to the Student Recruitment and International Development Team, in the Directorate for the Student Experience (DSE), as Student Communications and Marketing Officer.

Still in Humanities, Elaine Ofori is on secondment to the Student Experience Programme (SEP) Marketing and Recruitment Implementation Team, working on the implementation of the University’s pilot of GeckoChat.

And Matthew McKenzie will be joining the Faculty in March as the Digital Content Assistant, assisting the Web and Digital Team.

Isabelle Cox has joined the Office for Social Responsibility as a graduate intern. Isabelle, who graduated from our University last year, will be supporting with the delivery of communication, engagement and public engagement activities until August 2020.
