Our public engagement team win gold

Manchester awarded a Gold Engage Watermark
We have been awarded a Gold Engage Watermark for excellence in supporting public engagement.
The award, granted by the National Co-ordinating Centre for Public Engagement (NCCPE), is held for three years and we are now aiming to be one of the first institutions to get a platinum award – which is only open to gold winners – in 2021.
In addition, Dee-Ann Johnson will be our new Public Engagement Manager from February 2019. She has been part of Engagement@Manchester for many years and organises our annual Science Spectacular event. She will bring her knowledge and extensive experience as a trainer and coach to take our public engagement forward and address the Watermark actions for the platinum award.
