Call for ‘shadow sponsors’ for Work Shadow Programme

From June until December 2018, we’re offering communications and marketing colleagues (grades 3-6) the opportunity to shadow a fellow communications or marketing colleague
The shadowing willl take place over a period of three to six months to help colleagues develop a better understanding of the University, the Higher Education sector and professional disciplines. This is similar to the DSE programme already in place but has a specific communications and marketing focus.
We are now issuing a call out for shadow sponsors - people from grades 5-8 who have a project or piece of work that another colleague could get involved in for 1-2 days a month.

- An opportunity for colleagues to find out how you and your team works and what your roles involve.
- A deeper knowledge and understanding of other roles, functions and priorities within the University.
- A chance to develop your coaching and mentoring skills.
- The chance to network with colleagues from different areas.
Placements can start and finish anytime between June and December 2018. There will be a briefing session for sponsors in early June to support and encourage an enjoyable and mutually productive placement experience.

If there is something that you are currently working on, or about to embark on that another colleague could support, please consider whether you could commit to someone shadowing you for a day or two a month.
