Research Staff Development Programme

The Research Staff Development Programme provides intermediate and advanced level training to help maximise your research output and impact and supports the development of independent research careers.

The programme provides training in five key areas:

Faculty Research Staff Induction

This induction workshop is for new research staff from across the Faculty of Biology Medicine and Health and will signpost them to the wide ranging training and support available to enhance their research, career and professional development. New research staff will also have the opportunity to network with other new researchers, research staff representatives, HR partners and senior academic staff over refreshments.

Our online research integrity course is mandatory for all research active staff. The course will ensure that researchers understand their professional responsibilities and also provides practical advice on dealing with the complex issues that can arise while planning, conducting and reporting your research.

All staff involved in research are required to complete the University's Understanding Export Controls online training to ensure that you are aware of your export control obligations and the University's Export Control Policy.

If you're new to the University of Manchester, you can find useful information to support you in your new role on the HR website.
