Successful research grants
In this repository we are able to share with colleagues examples of successful grant applications made to various funding agencies and schemes. The repository is intended to be a living database and will be updated with new grants as they are awarded to enable colleagues to see examples of good/successful practice for the funders' current schemes.
Sensitive information such as named personnel and salary details have been redacted, however if you would like to discuss specific application schemes or reach out to colleagues with a view to establishing collaborations, please contact the research services team at the email address below and they will make the necessary introductions between you and the principal investigator. Please be mindful that research services colleagues are facilitating these contacts and may not be able answer specific grant-related queries directly; but they will endeavour to address these questions through consultation.
This workflow diagram [pdf] illustrates the process from award notification to upload to the repository pages.

Fellowships
The following examples of successful fellowship applications represent a variety of fellowship schemes (intermediate level and above for both basic science and clinical schemes as well as clinical PhD awards). These have been subdivided by funder and award values (below/above £500,000).
Further examples will follow in due course as awards are received and we intend to keep the material contemporaneous with funders' current schemes.
This resource should be used in parallel to working closely with the Faculty Fellowship Academy (email: FBMHfellowshipacademy@manchester.ac.uk) during the development of your fellowship proposal.
