Rachel Brealey appointed Chief Operating Officer at the University of Leeds

She will join Leeds on 15 August 2022 from her current role as our Director of Faculty Operations in BMH and co-director of Reshaping PS

Reacting to her appointment, Rachel said: "Having worked at UMIST and the University for over 27 years I will be incredibly sad to leave but am thrilled to be joining Leeds at such an exciting time. Through my time at the University I have been lucky enough to work across a wide range of challenging and rewarding roles and with some incredibly talented and dedicated colleagues."

Patrick Hackett, Registrar, Secretary and Chief Operating Officer commented: "We are very grateful for the enormous contribution that Rachel has made to our University over her 27 years in various leadership roles. There will be another opportunity to thank her more fully but we wish her the very best in her new role.

"We have begun the process to recruit her successor and will shortly announce interim arrangements."
