New platform will promote the Faculty’s best research outputs

14 Sep 2018

Submission call open for '4cite Publications Showcase'

Submissions are currently being sought for a new online platform that will showcase the best research papers and increase the visibility of the outstanding work taking place across the FBMH.

The ‘4cite Publications Showcase’ will be hosted on the Faculty’s website and will feature a selection of papers judged to be some of the best outputs produced by academics from within our research domains.

The showcase pages will be updated quarterly with a new set of papers and will also contain an overview on each publication with insights from the authors.

Associate Dean for REF and Impact, Professor Shaheen Hamdy, commented: “We are aware that the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health is doing some fantastic research, but until now there has been no mechanism to highlight this great work to our peers and colleagues, both locally and beyond.

“This new initiative will allow some of our best research to be given the full credit it deserves and I encourage all our academics to consider submission of their work to 4cite in due course.”

Researchers will be asked to submit a recently published peer-reviewed article for consideration on the 4cite page through quarterly submission calls.

These papers will be reviewed by the 4cite committee which consists of members of the Faculty’s Leadership Team, REF panellists and the Associate Deans for REF and Impact.

How to submit to 4cite

The initial call closes on 30 September 2018 and detailed guidance on the submission process and future deadlines can be found on the BMH 4Cite pages under the Research Environment section of BMH Staffnet.
