How to use the Guide

One consistent comment we've received is the desire to be able to find who does what, where you can get a particular type of support or service, and where to find forms or policies.

We've brought all this information into one section to allow you to search and find contacts and relevant links more quickly and easily.

The online guide includes details of each office function, location, contacts, services and related policies, forms and other documentation. 

This means that you will be able to search for information using keywords, service categories or organisational structure. Users are encouraged to update their details if necessary using the simple online form.

Information at your fingertips

The Guide links services, contacts and documents through one database.

This means that managers of these areas can make sure all the information people may want to access through the web is at your fingertips.

It is the responsibility of all managers to ensure that the information on the guide and staffnet is up to date.

Tabs on The Guide

The guide has four tabs to help you find what you want quickly:

General Info
This tab gives an overview to the area and the main office contact details.

Documents
This lists the documents held in the StaffNet database that relate to this area.

The left hand navigation here has a link to search all documents (including those outside of this area) and to the Documents Home Page.

That includes an A-Z of all the documents held on StaffNet.

Services
The services offered by that area are listed here. There brief summary for each service offered and a link to more information.

Please note that many areas have not yet completed this information and so you may not currently be able to find what you need through this tab.

If you are a user and you cannot find the services you want please let us know using the feedback link on the left and navigation.

If you are the manager for this area, it is your responsibility to make sure the services information is kept up to date. Please contact us if you wish to make changes and add new information:

Contacts
This tab gives a simple contact form to allow you to contact areas directly. There are also a small number of contact details, but this is not intended to replicate the Online Directory and therefore not every member of staff in an area is listed.

Searching The Guide

The search box will look through all offices, services and documents and list 'hits' under those categories.

It will not search contacts as you should use the Online Directory if you know the name of the person you are looking for.

Keeping your information up to date

It is your responsibility to make sure that your details, including your contact details, documents and services, are up to date on The Guide.

If you want to make changes then please use the update your details link on the left hand navigation bar or on the General Info tab.

Give your feedback

Use the feedback link on the left hand navigation to give feedback on the information in the guide or on how The Guide can be improved. 

The Guide will continue to be improved over time and your views are important in making sure it meets your needs.
