Manchester University Music Society: Welcome Concert

Join us for the first Music Society concert of the academic year, featuring three contrasting French works. We introduce our newest music students in Poulenc’s eclectic Gloria, followed by Louise Farrenc’s (1834) overture, transitioning classical and romantic idioms. Ravel's colourful and beautifully orchestrated Mothergoose suite contrasts perfectly to the vibrant and energetic Danzon No.2 by Marquez.
