Update on Estates works in Samuel Alexander Building

Maintenance Works

Estates will be carrying out essential maintenance works to doors in the walkway linking Classics to the south reception; and the lower ground area around the Lime café.

There will be a diversion route clearly signposted around the works.

As a part of these works, estates will also be rectifying the accessibility issues with the fire doors in the west ground and a number of smaller cosmetic issues.

We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Heating System

There will be a full commissioning of the heating system in Samuel Alexander taking place w/c 18.12.17.
This process will identify and rectify any underlying faults with the heating system in Samuel Alexander.

Fire Extinguishers

Fire Queen are currently carrying out an audit of the fire extinguishers in Samuel Alexander following the capital estates project. This will ensure that the correct type of extinguishers are placed in the correct locations around the building. The final part of this process will be correctly fixing the extinguishers to the walls.
