The Blue Coat School is a mixed gender Church of England academy for 11 to 18-year-olds
It now forms part of the Cranmer Educational Trust and presents an opportunity for senior colleagues to serve as a Director/Trustee on the Trust Board of this high achieving school in the centre of Oldham.
The school is predominantly looking for two staff members, one with HR and one with Education Experience and who sees and understands the moral purpose of governance in areas that have high levels of disadvantage, unemployment and child poverty. Good strategic vision and experience is crucial to this voluntary role.
Whilst Blue Coat School is high performing, the Trust which oversees the school is committed to educational improvement in disadvantaged areas by opening a free school.
All the Trustee meetings are held at Blue Coat which is the registered office. It's in the centre of Oldham so very accessible from the motorways and by Metro and there is plenty of on-site parking at the time we hold meetings.
