Manchester Recycling Week: recycling residential electrical waste

18 Oct 2018

Find out how to recycle small electrical items

Recycling

If you have any small electrical items from home that are broken or do not work, these can go into the new electrical recycling bin at the Humanities Bridgeford Street Car Park recycling station.

We also have recycling points for CDs and DVDs in the following locations:

  • First floor of JRUL Main Library (adjacent to the computer consumables dispenser)
  • Joule Library Entrance, Sackville Building
  • University Place, Ground Floor (adjacent to the entrance at the side of Williamson Building)

Britons have at least £1 Billion worth of electrical and electronic equipment in their homes that are no longer used.

To find out how to dispose of electrical equipment from your workspace, please visit our A-Z of recycling.
