The Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Office and Staff Learning and Development have organised the following half-day session.
Trans*fer-A Journey
‘This half day session equips you to be more ‘trans aware’ at the University in a safe, non-judgemental environment and assumes no previous knowledge. There are many different barriers that trans people face which are not encountered by other members of staff and students. Working with the facilitator, in small groups and on your own you will understand how history, society and the media has impacted on the trans community. You’ll also understand acceptable terminology, language and how to be a supportive colleague, manager or academic tutor.’
