The Arts and the Environment Initiative

11 Dec 2017

Join us on Thursday, 8 February 2018, 1pm-2pm, Samuel Alexander Building, A4

Arts and Environment iniaitiative

SALC is bringing together colleagues from across the Divisions working on any aspect of the environment, whether through research, teaching, public or business engagement. It includes urban and rural environments, eco-systems, spatial and organic subjects, flora, fauna and natural resources, climate, space, atmosphere, weather, pollution and ecological processes etc.

We want to introduce colleagues’ work to each other, and think about how the Arts and Languages provide unique ways of understanding the environment.

Areas of interest might include, but are no means limited to: linguistic analysis; drama and performance; representations and imagery such as in film, art, literature; historical perspectives; social movements; cultural interventions.

Join us for a lift-pitch lunch on Thursday, 8 February 2018, 1-2 Samuel Alexander A4.

We’d like people to speak for 2 minutes on their ideas, research, organisation etc...
