Closure of Oxford Street between Whitworth Street to Portland Street

As the transformation of the Oxford Road corridor continues, additional work is due to start on Tuesday, 30 August
To enable further resurfacing work to take place, Oxford Street will close in both directions between Whitworth Street and Portland Street.
The closure will come into effect at 4am on Tuesday, 30 August and will be in place until the morning of Monday 5, September.
A full closure between Charles Street and Portland Street, coupled with the closure of Whitworth Street at its junction with Oxford Street, is required to ensure that the work can be carried out safely and efficiently.
